Half Baked

Yes, I am feeling half baked! Enough already...I want the sun and the warmth it brings! I come from a long line of sun people. I am from the DEEP South...we love sub-tropical temperatures, tropical warm weather is the norm.
So consider my parents Exhibit One. Note the oleander bushes...plants that thrive in tropical breezes.
Now for some additional exhibits:
The trio is yes, my sisters Lee and Patsy and myself. Sundresses were popular even way back when. The two youngsters on the raft are my youngest sister Aimee and my brother, Bill...who was called Billy way back when
And by the way, did I say Southern? My sister Sally illustrates how seriously we take our antebellum heritage! Lee and Patsy were escorted by the Mayor of New Orleans, Victor Schiro, when they were styling their's! Why, Hun, don't ya'll just look divine!

Then we have the next generation of sun loving people. My niece and nephew Will and Emily can kick back in their pool and splash in the warm sun!

My own children do very well in the sun as well...

We DO sunshine! We go to parks and ride carousels and trains:

It's time for walks on the beaches with my daughter and grandkids....

I'm guessing you get the picture by now...I want sunshine and warm weather!

Anyone else? Raise your hands!

Anyone in favor of more snow? Speak up....

'Nuff Said...Bring on the Sun!

Notes from Lee on the antebellum dresses photo: Daddy was on the New Orleans Transportation Committee, and this particular year there was a large emphasis on rail transportation. A big promotional day at the train station, and hostesses were needed to dress in antebellum attire. Daddy volunteered us, Mom took us to a special store where we could rent the dresses, and it all turned out (from my point of view) wonderfully! The smiling, lecherous Mayor Schiro escorted us onto the train, we took up our post in a passenger car, and guess who boarded to tour the train - a slew of young airmen from Keesler AFB in Biloxi! I was in heaven!
