Snakes Alive!!!

I know I have been to my share of Kindergarten Performances. When you figure I grew up in a family of six children and then had my own family of five children...as I've said before and will say so many times...YOU DO THE MATH! That said, I must say the kindergarten performance my firstborn grandson's class had was really outstanding! Trey was a red snake in this performance. He had two other buddies as red snakes.  But Trey really got the moves down pat in his rendition of a snake:
The title of the performance was Once Upon A Lily Pad and it was a glittery and spangly and very entertaining rendition. The group lit up the stage...but the guitar playing crocodiles were real scene stealers! Can we say, Crockodile's' Rock???
It was a musical extravaganza that entertained us from start to finish. I was so excited to see Trey having so much fun and giving a wonderful performance!
After the 'Big Show', refreshments were provided for everyone. Peter really enjoyed seeing his brother on the stage. Once our favorite snake was released to join his family, Peter greeted Trey with a  hug and a "So, Trey, how was your day"? Too cute!
There was a vast spread for everyone. But the actual performers were given cupcakes that looked like frogs! Trey and his buddy, a wise owl, were ready to reap the reward of an excellent show...
And then like so many packages that look great on the outside but are such a disappointment on the inside we had an unfortunate rejection of a family name that is known as a....
Well everyone together let's all say it...
                                             SPITBACK!EWWW!YUCK!
See Trey, your Great Grandma was always right. You can't always tell what things are like on the inside even if they are pretty and shiny and delectable looking on the outside. Sigh...

It was a great evening, one I keep remembering and enjoying. Spangles and glitter and happy children always rate at the very top of the chart! Thanks Trey, we had so much fun!

Ribbit!
