To Have And To Hold....

What greater thing is there for two human souls than to feel that they are joined together to strengthen each other in all labor, to minister to each other in all sorrow, to share with each other in all gladness, to be one with each other in the silent unspoken memories?
- George Eliot

For this I know is true...they had a love that lasted through good times and bad, in sickness and in health. Always and forever, they loved.
Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad...missing you forever and a day...

I miss mine too a lot. Dad died in 1974 and mom in 2002.
You asked about my pressure cooker. I have an Elite 8 qt. electric and it is the "only" way to go. You program in the time and hit start. You never hear it until it is done. It comes to pressure and a P shows in from the cooking time. When you hear it beep it is done and switches to warm cycle. If left alone it will depressurize by itself in about 15 minutes or you can turn a valve to exhaust and it will do it in about 1 minute. You cannot move the lid until the safety button drops. I LOVE it.

>OdieI don't think we ever get over missing them, do we?
Thanks re the pressure cooker info, I will have to keep my eye out for a good sale on one! I have a HUGE one that is probably considered and antique as it was my Mom's and an 8 qt I purchased about six years ago to replace the four qt my Grams had given me as a shower present 39 almost 40 years ago. Looking forward to given the electric a try!

I'm very, very, very lucky that my wonderful parents are still very much alive and kicking and will hopefully be for a very long time to come. My Grandma however, passed away before seeing my daughter and this makes me very sad. Have a great day, Sush :)

Oh, Sush!!!
What a MARVELOUS couple your parents were!!!
I don't know my parent's anniversary because in Japan my parents' generation don't have a custom to celebrate their anniversaries. My mom died in the year 2,000. Dad doesn't understand that, as you may know by now(dementia).
We are their children forever and ever, aren't we?

Lots of LOVE to you!!!

PS, Thank you very much for your sweet comment to my new link page. I was SO happy to see your lovey words♪♪♪ I left a small comment for you there.

Great post-no greater honor than to be "remembered well".
What a great legacy of love they have given you.

Hi Sush. Lovely post in tribute to the love between your mum and dad. How special of you to remember their anniversary in this way. My dad died when I was 32, and my mum died when I was 49, and I still miss them dearly. Hugs my friend.
