Update of Sorts

Short and not so sweet here....My Sweetheart is still waiting to pass that dang kidney stone. It seems the stone has travelled too far down for any procedure to either smash it to smithereens or any other variety of removal. It's the ole wait and see game and it isn't a fun one for him to play.

The Urologist showed us a spot on his kidney that will have to be addressed when the kidney stone passes. The Dr is hopeful it is just a cyst so I'm going to go with that theory as well!

Thank you all for you kind thoughts and prayers and if I thought riding him over railroad tracks would do the trick you'd be hearing of a crazy woman that was coasting down the tracks with her husband saddled to the luggage racks. Sadly it's more waiting. For those who know Pig Latin my not very lady like sentiment for this is: Ap Cray.

Oh dear, sorry to hear he is still struggling. Hopefully it won't take too much longer. It's never easy to watch someone we care about suffering.
Thanks for the comment on my latest post. I hadn't thought of that aspect of the girls growing up and leaving home. Exciting indeed! :)

Hmmm.
I had a similar situation - it had moved to where it could no longer be "crushed" so they did a procedure (under antesthetic) where they went "up" and got the kidney stone. Perhaps it's a different situation in a male. Anyway, it is AWFUL having a kidney stone. I feel very badly for him.

Oh Sush, I was hoping that your waiting game would be over by now and that the outcome would be as sweet as it was for LSU last weekend. Thanks for the update. Please know that your unhappiness is mine and that I'm thinking about you and praying for you!

Sush, give the hubby huge mugs of cranberry juice, or beer, or both!
I've never had kidney stones, but Jilda has and she highly recommends this therapy.

Sorry it still hasn't left, hopefully any moment now. He should drink lots and lots of water but no soda, you probably know that already. xo,

Actually Life 101 is right...cranberry juice is better for bladder infections but copious amount of fluids will help pass a stone...good luck!! (Loved the pig Latin...lol)

Oh sadly, we've had beer, cranberry juice and lemon water and still waiting for the stone to drop!

Thanks everyone for all your good wishes and prayers, they are very comforting!

Hugs and oh by the way...GEAUX SAINTS!!!

Oh, phooey, I HATE the waiting game - although probably not half as much as your husband.

Hope he is on the mend very soon!
...blessings to you - Marsha

Oh Sush - I was hoping he'd have passed it by now! UGH - he's not having a happy time, is he? I hope everything "comes out" ok - I'll be thinking about you and waiting for the announcement!

Hi Sush. Lovely of you to give us this update. I had been thinking of you both. It's really going on a bit too long now, isn't it?! My dad had the same problem years ago now, and he was in such pain before he passed the stone. Tell hubby that we're all willing that dang stone to hurry up out of there! Take care.

Hang in there. I will be praying for you and your hubby.
My husband went through open heart surgery two years ago. You could check with my boss what my condition was a couple of months prior to the surgery. Couple of months after the surgery he was up and running ( I mean back to being his abnoctious self, I tease him all the time).
We have to go through a lot in our lives, however we get the energy and strength from up above:)

All will be well, and I can fully understand that this waiting is driving your crazy. I will be thinking of you as much as you did for us! Sending positive thoughts towards you two!

I've only ever had one stone and it was more than enough. Luckily mine was removed via basket extraction (as your second commenter described). I've been drinking cranberry juice ever since and haven't had a recurrence. My sweetheart has though and lives in dread of having another. Many positives thoughts and prayers for the swift passage of your husband's stone. It's hard to be the one watching and waiting so take care of yourself too.
