An Explanation May Be Due

Apologies and appreciation to all my dear friends and followers who have been wondering where and what I've been up and doing fine thank you. I have been trying to cut back on my time spent on the wonderful web. I do love reading all your stories and blogs and seeing everyone's lovely photographs, hearing Shady's fantastic music. However, I felt I was letting virtual time capture more of my life than real time. I suppose I've put myself on a 'Blog Diet' so to speak.

I'm going to be in and out and off and on for an unspecified amount of time. As you all know we have been blessed with new little ones that I am longing to hold...and we have three very wonderful and active toddler on up grandchildren that bring much joy to our lives. It's summer time and time to be active with these jewels, before time runs away and I wonder where it went!

I've noticed I'm not the only one to decide to cut back on time spent on blogging. I think we all need some time to put perspective and fresh air into our lives. Life is good...I love sharing with all of  you and will be back to post updates and read what is happening with all my dear friends in your very unique corners of the world.

Just not right now...not right this second! I've got other friends to play with...

and this newest member along with my date for the last forty plus years...
not to mention my own sweet long as I'm living...oh you know the drill...

Pictures of your family always inspire me, Sush. They give me hope for the future of our country. I want people like them in my world (and people like you).

My own blog diet will begin soon. The first half of this year my blogging was way out of control. There were a number of breaking news stories to report and my current interview series to finish. It was a labor intensive project, requiring an estimated 1,300 hours of writing and editing. The hectic pace and long, sleepless nights working on it have taken a toll on my family life and my health. I feel like a zombie and I need to slow down now and live a little.

While you're away from blogging you will be missed but not forgotten. Our friendship was secured a long time ago and is here to stay. I will remember you, dear Sush. Please remember me.

Tom...I will always remember you and count you as a friend. Please don't go far...I'll be checking on you even while I'm on my diet! Hugs~

You've got the right perspective, my dear friend, Sush, but don't go too far! I'm also paring back some, but as long as we all know we will meet back up here, or on FB, it's all good. The same for Tom- you all don't go too far!

Beautiful, glorious babies and family!

I wish I could hug your little ones. They look so cute. It's been so long for me since I held a child. I must be missing them because I meet every child's eyes in the supermarket and converse by telepathy. They always smile back. Be happy.

Shelly...Oh it won't be far or long, just enough to get some fresh air. See you on FB and perhaps we can get Tom to start doing FB????

Francene...I know just what you mean. I said long before my own children started gifting me with grands that I was ready for someone I know to have a baby cause I was missing the feel of a little one in my arms!

I can't say that I blame you for taking a time of blogging. So many little ones to play with and watch grow up. It must be very exciting.
I hope you have lots of fun and I hope to hear all about it when you come back.
Have fun!!!!

Sweet pictures! I can see why you'd like some time off from blogging. :)

Have fun!

I DO know the drill! I neglected my blog horribly last week, but more important things came up, as you were able to read. Love the picture of your husband with the baby - nothing more sweet than a man holding a baby, and enjoying it. The blue eyes of the other?/same? baby are incredible, and the other children are precious. What fun you must be having! We leave next week for Denver and a visit with our other 3 grandchildren. It's a good month!

Sush said... is only a break and hearing such thoughtful comments from friends like you make it even harder to do. Be well I'll be dropping in and checking up on all my dear ones from time to time!
Hugs~ is such a trade off...being a good blogger or involved in 'real' life. Hard to leave either so I'll be popping in and out! Have a great June!

Karen...I loved your last post with all the sweet joy your family brought with their visit. So thrilled for you that next week you get to visit with the others! Have fun dear friend and I'll be looking for your report card!

I need to be on a blog diet myself, just a little one, though, as I don't have little grandbabies to keep me busy. But we will be here when you want to pop in for a visit or do a post. xo

Aha! I was talking about this very thing on Twitter no less. Too, I wrote an essay on Internet Addiction to pass to my students.

The Internet grabs a hold and doesn't want to let go of a person. Add in the myriad social media (novel electronic drugs) and one can be hooked swiftly.

It's good to know you recognized your lapse of "real time."

Some don't.

I read about a South Korean not too long ago he dies playing
World of Warcraft" when he had kidney failure.
